Field Sales Coordinator – Permanent, Full-Time

My client is FMCG sales, marketing and distribution business servicing the Island of Ireland. Mainly services the Irish grocery, wholesale and pharmacy channels.

We are seeking to recruit a Field Sales Coordinator to work alongside the field sales team, reporting to the Field Sales Manager.

Area Responsibilities

Field-Sales Support

  • Support the Field Sales Manager and Divisional Manager in managing and coordinating the Field Sales Team

  • Provide the Field Sales Team with weekly Sales Figures and relevant reports

  • Manage external merchandising agencies Invoices and run quarterly reports for comparison YOY

  • Manage Field Sales Representatives monthly expenses

  • Have the ability to resolve issues and foresee any potential problems/ issues

  • Liaise with all departments across the organisation to support the sales team in their day to day roles

Reporting Daily /Weekly/ Monthly

  • Manage and maintain the WASP Dashboard and generate management reports from same

  • Wasp Reports: Additional Image reports to support Promo results analyzed and shared with Business units.

  • Wasp Surveys: All Survey questions to be set up to capture all relevant data to support the Promotions and results communicated

  • Managing of the Tablet sequencing, images and general upkeep of the tablet, liaise with all BU’s

  • Produce weekly & monthly reports to required timelines and perform data analysis, analyzing required data to update Field Sales Manager in real time

Field Sales Representatives

system/ sales support

  • Support the Field Sales Team by ensuring their Wasp system is up to date, collating weekly sales reports, tracking and monitoring scheduled activities and journey plan maintenance

  • Ensure all Sales tools necessary for the Sales Team are set up on the Tablet and all information is loaded in a timely manner 

Business Unit Relationship / Support (Commercial)

  • Establish strong working relationships with the Business Units head office support teams, ensuring agreed activities have been set up and executed as per Business Unit requirement

  • Plan and organise quarterly Objective Meetings with all Business Unit Managers

  • Manage internal projects between BU’s and Merchandising Agencies

This is a role that will require the individual to be competent working with data and systems, to be commercially astute, with the ability to create and maintain reports. This is a role for a strong communicator, responsible for sharing information both internally and externally. The role will benefit a fast learner & a lateral and critical thinker. You will be joining a fast moving, busy unit where attention to detail, speed and efficiency is key. You will also be responsible for supporting the Fields Sales Manager & Divisional Manager in the day to day running of the Field Sales Team. You will be first point of contact for the Field sales team and will be the contact to help with issues and queries. Your role will contribute to the achievement of sales targets by supporting the Field Sales Team and managing our 3rd party agencies.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3-5 years' experience in a similar role

  • Extremely competent in Excel and Microsoft Office

  • Target driven and experience in working to deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Highest level of attention to detail is required

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Be proactive & assertive in reacting to key business requirements in a timely manner

  • A flexible approach to work and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to use own initiative
